AgiBot, known in China as Zhiyuan Robotics, was founded in 2023 in Shanghai by former Huawei engineers including Deng Taihua and Peng Zhihui. The company has focused on series production of humanoid robots for industrial and service applications from the outset. In August 2025, AgiBot achieved unicorn status in a Series B round at a valuation of approximately 2.09 billion US dollars.
AgiBot develops bipedal humanoids from the A series, including the service robot Expedition A3. The hardware is complemented by the Genie-Sim simulation platform, which provides synthetic training data for teaching complex manipulation tasks. In January 2026, the company made its debut at CES and was awarded the "Best of CES" award.
By March 2026, AgiBot had delivered approximately 10,000 units, achieving the fastest production ramp-up in the history of humanoid robotics according to its own statements. According to IDC, the company holds approximately 39 percent of the global market share for delivered humanoids. AgiBot is considered one of the pace-setters in the Chinese race for production-ready humanoids.
