Agile Robots was founded in 2018 in the environment of the German Aerospace Center and is based in Munich. The company develops sensitive robot arms and intelligent automation solutions and ranks among Europe's highest-valued robotics companies. At the end of 2023, it also acquired Munich-based lightweight specialist Franka Emika.
At its core, Agile Robots combines force-sensitive robot arms with AI-powered control. The portfolio includes industrial arms from the Diana and Yu series as well as the highly flexible Agile Hand. At the end of 2025, the company introduced the Agile ONE, its first industrial humanoid robot.
With the Agile ONE, Agile Robots is one of the few European providers of industrial humanoids and thus competes against strong competition from the US and China. The planned series production in Bavaria underscores the ambition to produce sophisticated robotics in Europe.
