Engine AI was founded in October 2023 in the Nanshan district of Shenzhen. The company built its own manufacturing capabilities within a few months and is already producing robots in its Shenzhen factory at a pace of one robot every 15 minutes. An additional production facility in Zhengzhou is currently under construction.
The portfolio includes the SE01, a 170 cm universal humanoid with natural gait thanks to end-to-end neural networks, as well as the T800, an industrial humanoid measuring 173 cm, weighing 75 kg with 29 degrees of freedom. The latter features a magnesium-aluminum chassis, a solid-state battery with four to five hours of runtime, and 7-DOF hands. Additionally, the SA01 serves as a research and education platform.
With total financing exceeding one billion yuan and a valuation of more than 10 billion yuan, Engine AI ranks among China's fastest-growing humanoid startups. The T800 celebrated its global commercial premiere at CES 2026 in Las Vegas and has been available for delivery since mid-2026.
