Overview

The PM01 comes from Shenzhen-based company EngineAI, founded in 2023. The robot is aimed at research, education, and commercial developers and is designed as an open platform. With this, EngineAI positions it as a comparatively affordable entry point into humanoid robotics.

Construction

At approximately 138 centimeters in height and around 40 kilograms in weight, the PM01 is compactly built. It features 24 degrees of freedom and achieves movement speeds of around two meters per second. A waist rotation of 320 degrees also enables expansive movements.

Technology and AI

The computing platform is based on x86 architecture and Nvidia's Jetson Orin modules. The open approach allows developers to deploy their own algorithms for control, movement, and interaction.

Market Significance

EngineAI launched the PM01 at a remarkably low entry price of around 88000 Yuan. The low price and open architecture are intended to promote adoption in laboratories and among developers.
