DEEP Robotics was founded in Hangzhou in 2017 and specializes in robust legged robots for demanding environments. The company gained recognition with the four-legged Jueying series, which operates in power grids, tunnels, mining, and rescue operations. Building on this expertise, DEEP Robotics now also develops humanoid robots.
The portfolio ranges from the industrial quadrupeds X20 and X30 to the compact Lite3 and proprietary joint modules of the J-series. With the DR01 and DR02, DEEP Robotics has entered the humanoid market. According to the manufacturer, the DR02 is the world's first humanoid robot to achieve IP66 protection rating and operates in temperatures from minus 20 to plus 55 degrees, complemented by modular design with quickly interchangeable limbs.
DEEP Robotics is among established Chinese providers of four-legged industrial robots and is deployed in numerous countries worldwide. With the weatherproof DR02, the company targets outdoor applications where many humanoids have previously fallen short. The combination of rugged industrial durability and human-like form sets this offering apart from models designed purely for indoor environments.
