CASBOT was founded in August 2023 at the Zhongguancun Science Park in Beijing. The core team brings over 20 years of experience in precision assembly, image processing and robot control, including from the development of assembly robots for the Chinese passenger jet C919. The focus is on universal humanoid robots for industrial manufacturing environments.
The CASBOT 01 is a 179 cm tall, 60 kg humanoid with 52 degrees of freedom and computing power of 550 TOPS. It is designed for factory and hazardous environments and runs for over four hours on a single battery charge. A second generation, the CASBOT 02, has been announced.
CASBOT secured a strategic partnership with Lenovo in 2024, whose smart manufacturing facilities became the first deployment sites for the robots. An Angel+ round of approximately 100 million Yuan with investors such as Lenovo Capital and SDIC Venture Capital demonstrates early industrial interest in the startup.
