Overview

The CASBOT 02 is a humanoid robot from Beijing-based company Beijing Zhongke Huiling Robotics Technology, which operates under the CASBOT brand. The model was unveiled around mid-2025 as a lighter and more interaction-focused variant of the CASBOT 01. The focus is on tasks where the robot comes into contact with people.

Construction

With a body height of approximately 163 centimeters and a weight of around 50 kilograms, the CASBOT 02 remains close to human proportions. The bipedal design features 25 degrees of freedom distributed across the head, arms, hips, and legs. The robot can optionally be equipped with a dexterous hand that offers eleven degrees of freedom and five fingers per side. The payload capacity is approximately four kilograms.

Technology and AI

The drive is electric, powered by precise joint actuators. Perception is handled by RGB-D, stereo, and fisheye cameras, a microphone array, and in the research version, a LiDAR. Computing power is provided by a combination of NVIDIA Orin AGX and RK3588 with approximately 275 TOPS. The robot is ROS-compatible, supports network updates, and features speech and facial recognition. Battery runtime is specified at approximately one and a half to two hours.

Market Significance

The CASBOT 02 is deployed as a reception and greeting robot, museum guide, and in retail, education, and research. The manufacturer is in an early commercial phase with delivery times. A platform price of around 63,500 US dollars is circulating, though this has not been officially confirmed by the manufacturer.
