Booster Robotics was founded in June 2023 in Beijing and develops bipedal humanoid robots for research, education, and competitions. Despite its short existence, the company has already gained recognition with multiple awards and has equipped its K1 with CE certification for the European market.
The T1 platform targets developers and research institutions with 23 to 41 degrees of freedom and peak torque of 130 Nm. The more compact K1 (approximately 95 cm, approximately 19.5 kg, 22 DOF) is available from around USD 6,000 and includes a pre-installed language model. Both platforms are ROS2-compatible and run on NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin.
At the IEEE-RAS Humanoids competition 2024 in Nancy, Booster Robotics placed first in the speed and obstacle avoidance categories. At RoboCup 2025 in Brazil, the company won both the AdultSize and KidSize categories. These results give the young startup international visibility within the research community.
