WIRobotics was founded in 2021 by four former engineers from Samsung's robotics division in South Korea, with headquarters in Cheonan. The company operates two main business lines: wearable robots for movement assistance and a humanoid platform. Its hallmark is exceptionally sensitive, force-controlled operation.
In the wearables segment, WIRobotics offers the WIM series for walking and movement support. The humanoid product ALLEX is a dexterous upper body that can sense forces in the range of just a few grams, even without dedicated force sensors. This is made possible by low-friction actuators, high back-drivability, and a gravity compensation mechanism.
With ALLEX, WIRobotics positions itself as one of the most visible Korean providers in the competition for dexterous humanoid robots. A Series B funding round of approximately 68 million USD strengthens development, and the company is building a developer ecosystem including simulation models. The focus is on safe, natural human-machine interaction.
