Vbot, operating in China as 维他动力, is headquartered in Beijing and builds quadrupedal companion robots for private households. Unlike most Chinese competitors, the company targets end consumers rather than industrial applications and inspection.
The BoBo weighs approximately sixteen kilograms and operates without a remote control: it follows its owner via UWB localization, a 360-degree sixteen-line lidar, and a vision-language-action model powered by 128 TOPS of on-board computing. The design is consistently focused on safety, featuring rounded shapes, silicone-coated joints, and quiet 3D-printed feet. In August 2026, Vbot additionally unveiled the 1.60-meter tall humanoid ATOM.
At launch in December 2025, the company reported receiving one thousand orders in 52 minutes, with series production beginning in March 2026. This makes the BoBo the first quadrupedal robot to go into series production as a pure consumer product, complete with all associated features: pinch protection, quiet feet, a face, and operation without a remote control.
