The BoBo, known as 大头 in China, comes from Vbot in Beijing and was unveiled on December 23, 2025, with series production running since March 2026. Vbot markets it as the first robot dog that operates without remote control. According to the company, one thousand orders came in within 52 minutes at the start of sales.

Construction

Standing, the robot measures 61 by 34 by 57 centimeters and weighs approximately sixteen kilograms; when folded, it requires only 52 by 34 centimeters of floor space. The manufacturer lists fourteen joints. The design is consistently oriented toward safety: uniformly rounded shapes, joints fully covered with liquid silicone, plus a safety stop of 25 millimeters on the upper and lower legs. The feet are 3D-printed and quiet. Available in white and black. At the head are a display for facial expressions and illuminated ears.

Technology and AI

128 TOPS of computing power is on board, running a spatial base model, a language model, and a vision-language-action model. Perception includes a 360-degree lidar with sixteen lines, a stereo depth camera, UWB localization over 360 degrees, and a four-channel microphone array, plus a night lamp. It can carry five kilograms and pull fifty while stationary. The 594 watt-hour battery provides three to five hours of mobile operation, up to seventeen hours in power-saving mode. Charging is via USB-C at 240 watts in 2.7 hours. Regarding speed, the manufacturer contradicts itself—the specification table lists four kilometers per hour, while the marketing section claims fourteen.

Market Significance

No price is listed on the manufacturer's website; Chinese press cited 12,988 yuan as the list price. The BoBo is the first quadruped to go into mass production as a pure consumer product, with everything that entails: pinch protection, quiet feet, a face, and operation without remote control.
