Plim Robotics is a robotics company based in Munich that operated under the name Devanthro until October 2026. With the rebranding, the company introduced its eponymous household robot, which has its origins in elderly care.
The flagship product Plim is a 1.65-meter-tall humanoid on a three-wheeled omnidirectional base with two arms, a soft fabric covering, and a visor as a face. It either operates autonomously or can be controlled in so-called Step-in mode by a person from up to 9,000 kilometers away. Technically, it relies on an Nvidia Jetson Thor, ROS 2, and a combination of edge and cloud processing.
The company targets families and care organizations and deliberately focuses on combining artificial intelligence with human remote control. This makes it one of the German providers in the household humanoid sector, where companies such as 1X are also active.
