PaXini Tech was founded in June 2021 in Shenzhen by Jincheng Xu, who previously conducted robotics research at Waseda University. The company specializes in multidimensional tactile sensor technology and dexterous robotic hands. Investors include BYD, JD.com, Meta, TCL and SAIC; the Series B round in March 2026 valued the company at over USD 1.45 billion.
The core element is a proprietary 6D Hall array tactile sensor that measures force, torque, material, temperature and texture at high frequency. Based on this, PaXini Tech develops dexterous robotic hands with 26 degrees of freedom and 4 bionic fingers. The humanoid Tora One integrates these technologies: 1,956 tactile sensors with 7,824 measurement channels, 47 overall degrees of freedom and a comprehensive camera and LiDAR system.
PaXini Tech is among the most heavily funded robotics startups in China in its segment. The combination of sensor components and a complete humanoid enables two revenue streams: component sales to other manufacturers and proprietary systems. An IPO on the Hong Kong exchange is being discussed for 2026.
