Kepler Robotics was founded in 2023 by Yang Hua and Hu Debo in Shanghai and develops universal humanoids for manufacturing and warehouse logistics. According to the company, it achieved mass production readiness by 2025. Listed industrial conglomerate Hangzhou Kelin Electric plans to acquire a majority stake.
The flagship Forerunner K2 is 178 cm tall, weighs 85 kg, and features 52 degrees of freedom. A distinguishing characteristic is the tactile hands with 96 sensors per fingertip and a single-hand load capacity of 15 kg. The battery capacity of 2.33 kWh enables up to eight hours of operation. The system combines imitation learning and reinforcement learning. The market price ranges from 20,000 to 30,000 US dollars.
