Generative Bionics was founded in 2024 in Genoa, Italy, and builds on research conducted at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), the laboratory behind the iCub project. GENE.01 is the company's first concept model, presented at CES 2026 as part of the AMD keynote.
