Epson Robots is the robotics division of Seiko Epson Corporation, founded in 1942 and headquartered in Suwa, Japan. The origins of Epson robots lie in the high-precision watch production of Seiko, where SCARA robots were developed for the assembly of fine components. Epson Robots now markets over 300 robot models worldwide.
The core business consists of SCARA robots from the RS, LS and T series as well as 6-axis robots from the C series in sleek SlimLine design. All systems are equipped with the proprietary programming software RC+. In 2026, Epson launched the AX6, its first cobot with SafeSense technology for human-robot collaboration.
Epson is recognized globally as the number one in SCARA robots and is strongly established in industries such as electronics, medical technology and precision assembly. Decades of experience from watch production give Epson robots a reputation for precision and durability. In Switzerland, Epson Robots is represented through an official distributor.
