EIR Technology was founded in September 2024 in Sichuan Province and is closely connected with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and the Sichuan Institute of Machinery Research. The company develops both humanoid robots and quadrupedal robots. In September 2025, a partnership with Tencent Cloud in health care and care applications was announced.
The humanoid robot Tianxingzhe ("Skywalker") is available in its second version: 165 centimeters tall, 55 kilograms heavy, with 55 degrees of freedom. The first version was created within 69 days of the company's founding. The portfolio is complemented by the quadrupedal robot Lingtong, of which few technical details have been publicly disclosed so far.
EIR Technology exemplifies the increasingly academically rooted humanoid start-ups in China that receive support from state research institutions and tech companies such as Tencent. The company is very young; its international reach remains limited for now.
