About the Company

Overview

FANUC was spun off as an independent company from Fujitsu in 1972 and is headquartered in Oshino at the foot of Mount Fuji. The company employs around 10,000 employees and is recognized as one of the world's largest manufacturers of CNC controls and industrial robots. Production and development are fully centralized in Japan.

Technology and Products

The robot portfolio includes the compact LR-Mate series for assembly and handling, the versatile M-series with payload capacities from a few kilograms to over one ton, as well as the CRX cobots for SMEs. These are complemented by delta robots from the M-1ia series, paint robots, and CNC controls for machine tools. In 2025, FANUC introduced eight new R-2000/E models.

Market Significance

By the end of 2023, FANUC had delivered its one-millionth industrial robot, a milestone that no other manufacturer has yet achieved. The company has been recognized as a Clarivate Top-100 Innovator five times in a row and is investing in new manufacturing capacity in the USA. FANUC is present in the world's most important industrial markets.
