Overview

The LG CLOiD is an AI-powered home robot that LG Electronics presented at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. It is part of the vision of a Zero Labor Home, a household in which robots, connected devices, and AI services work together to relieve residents of domestic tasks.

Construction

The CLOiD features a torso, a head, and two mobile arms on a mobile base that enables autonomous navigation. The torso can be tilted to adjust height. Each arm has seven degrees of freedom, and each hand has five independent fingers.

Technology and AI

The robot connects to household appliances via LG's smart home platform ThinQ and coordinates its tasks with them. In demonstrations, LG showcased three everyday scenarios: personalized meal planning in the kitchen, wellness assistance for active seniors in the living room, and automated laundry care in the utility room. With its arms and wheels, the CLOiD can load the washing machine, fold laundry, organize the refrigerator, tidy up, and assist with cooking.

Market Significance

With the CLOiD, LG combines its strong position in household appliances with the field of humanoid home robots. The device represents the company's strategy to offer an entire ecosystem of robot, intelligent appliances, and AI services.
