The Origin F1 was presented in July 2026 at the World AI Conference in Shanghai and is AheadForm's first product sold on a regular basis. Initial units have been delivered to corporate customers, including research institutes, human-robot interaction laboratories, and upscale hospitality establishments.

Construction

The F1 is a tabletop head without a body. 26 degrees of freedom are distributed across the head, eyes, and facial modules. It is offered in two versions, which the manufacturer simply calls black and white; the images show long straight black hair. The skin is a proprietary silicone bionic skin, and the mechanics remain concealed unlike the M1. In the press release for its introduction, there was mention of 25 micromotors, over 200 control points for micro-expressions, and the replication of 43 facial muscles.

Technology and AI

RGB cameras are integrated into the pupils. The head features facial recognition, visual perception, speech recognition, and speech synthesis, controlled by proprietary algorithms for facial movement. This means it does not rely on remote control but reacts independently to its interaction partner.

Market Significance

At 50,000 to 150,000 US dollars depending on configuration, the F1 is the first device of its kind with an openly communicated price range. This is remarkable because competitors from Engineered Arts to Hanson typically provide prices only upon request. AheadForm thereby transforms the bionic head into a calculable capital investment rather than a custom project.
