Overview

The Panther is a full-service robot from UniX AI that, according to the company, is the first of its kind to be deployed in real, unmodified private households. Instead of legs, the robot uses a mobile platform with two arms.

Construction

The Panther features 34 degrees of freedom and bionic arms with eight degrees of freedom each, capable of carrying approximately twelve kilograms per arm. It also includes adaptive grippers, a vertical lift of about 80 centimeters, and an omnidirectional drive system with four-wheel steering. The system is powered by a 48-volt architecture.

Technology and AI

Mobile navigation, dual-handed manipulation, and powerful onboard computers for real-time AI control work together in the Panther. In tests, according to UniX AI, the robot completed entire household tasks, from making beds to preparing breakfast to cleaning multiple rooms.

Market Significance

UniX AI has moved the Panther into series production and, according to the company, ships more than one hundred units per month. This makes the company one of the few providers worldwide that achieve three-digit monthly unit numbers for humanoid robots.
