Overview

The A2 is Unitree's current industrial model and launched in August 2025. It positions itself between the compact Go series and the heavy B2, targeting operations that regularly conduct patrols or inspections.

Design

Standing, the robot measures 82 by 44 by 57 centimeters; when lying down, it flattens to 22 centimeters. Without a battery, it weighs around 35 kilograms; with a battery, approximately 42. Twelve joints with a peak torque of around 180 Newton-meters power it. Standing, it holds about one hundred kilograms; walking, twenty-five, ideally up to thirty-five. Aluminum alloy and high-strength engineering plastic are used. Protection rating is IP56; in the Pro version, core components are protected to IP67.

Technology and AI

The special feature is at the ends: The Pro variant carries two industrial Lidars, one front and one rear, covering the environment without blind spots. Added to this are an HD camera, a front headlight, a microphone array, and a speaker. Computing is handled by an eight-core CPU together with an Intel Core i7. Two battery slots accommodate 9000 milliamp-hours each and can be swapped during operation; together they deliver 907 watt-hours. Unloaded, the robot runs for over five hours and approximately twenty kilometers; with twenty-five kilograms of load, still over three hours.

Market Significance

Unitree does not provide a price; distribution is handled by request. The A2 shows where industrial models are headed: no longer primarily faster or stronger, but more enduring and comprehensive in perception. A wheeled-leg variant A2-W is also available.
