Overview

Cruzr S2 is a full-featured, wheel-based humanoid robot from Chinese manufacturer UBTECH Robotics. It is designed for commercial services such as reception, wayfinding, and simple concierge tasks.

Construction

The robot stands 176 centimetres tall and weighs approximately 185 kilograms. It features 44 degrees of freedom. Instead of legs, it moves on a wheel base at speeds of up to 2 metres per second. A symmetrical body structure with bilateral bending capability allows turning in tight passages, and a lifting range of 0 to 40 centimetres enables a payload capacity of 15 kilograms.

Technology and AI

Cruzr S2 is equipped with RGB and depth cameras, Lidar, IMU, as well as force and torque sensors. In the head, a passive binocular stereo vision system works with learning-based depth estimation. State-of-the-art fourth-generation hands enable precise grasping. For interaction, it features a large language model, voice control, a large 4-inch display, a microphone array, and a speaker.
