Overview

The W1 Pro is a wheel-based humanoid robot from Chinese company DexForce Technology. It was introduced around mid-2025 as the second generation, with a focus on the transition from simulation to real-world application. Among the models considered here, it is one of the best documented.

Design

The robot measures 163 centimeters in height and weighs approximately 110 kilograms. It features approximately 34 degrees of freedom, with each of its two arms providing seven of these. The dexterous hand offers six active degrees of freedom and five fingers. The payload capacity is ten kilograms, with the arm repeatability at approximately half a millimeter. Maximum speed is 5.4 kilometers per hour.

Technology and AI

The electric drive is controlled via whole-body control at 1000 Hz and EtherCAT, with force sensitivity at 0.1 Newton. Sensors include a binocular camera system, optional wrist-mounted cameras, and navigation LiDAR. Computing power is specified at a minimum of 300 TOPS. In addition to ROS compatibility, DexForce relies on its own software stack for learning in simulation. Battery runtime is approximately eight hours.

Market significance

The W1 Pro is intended for industrial automation, logistics, manufacturing, inspection, and service. The robot is listed as production-ready with delivery times available. A platform price of approximately USD 78,000 is circulating.
