Overview

CyberOne is the first humanoid robot developed by Chinese technology corporation Xiaomi and was unveiled in 2022. The company presents it as a demonstration of its own capabilities in robotics and artificial intelligence. The focus is on movement, perception, and emotion recognition.

Design

The robot is approximately 177 centimeters tall and weighs about 52 kilograms. It features approximately 21 degrees of freedom, with Xiaomi placing particular emphasis on powerful, proprietary joint motors. The hip joints achieve peak torques of up to 300 Newton-meters.

Technology and AI

CyberOne is designed to distinguish environmental sounds with its perception system and classify human emotions. The high-speed motors allow for short reaction times in movements.

Market Significance

CyberOne is currently a research and image project, not a series production product for the market. However, it underscores Xiaomi's ambitions to play a role in the field of humanoid robots.
