Overview

The H2 is the new flagship model from Chinese manufacturer Unitree Robotics based in Hangzhou and was unveiled in October 2025 under the title "Destiny Awakening". At 180 centimeters tall and weighing 70 kilograms, it roughly corresponds to an adult human. The most striking feature is the stylized bionic face with suggested eyes, nose and lips, a premiere for Unitree.

Construction

A total of 31 degrees of freedom are distributed with seven per arm, six per leg, three at the waist and two in the head. The leg joints deliver up to 360 Nm of torque, the arms up to 120 Nm. Each arm can carry approximately seven kilograms continuously, up to fifteen kilograms briefly. The swappable battery with 972 watt-hours provides around three hours of operation.

Technology and AI

Depending on the configuration level, up to 2070 TOPS of computing power are available, allowing the robot to support various AI models. Motion control is based on reinforcement learning. In the demo videos, the H2 demonstrates fluid dance choreography, martial arts and backflips, which impressively utilize the new waist and 7-DOF arms.

Market Significance

With an entry price of around 29,900 US dollars, Unitree remains true to its aggressive pricing strategy. The company is the world's largest humanoid manufacturer by unit numbers and shipped over 5,500 units in 2025. With the more human-like appearance of the H2, Unitree is targeting social and domestic applications for the first time, no longer just research and industry.
