Overview

The Psi E1 is not a full-body robot, but an anthropomorphic exoskeleton by PsiBot from Beijing. It serves as a teleoperation and data collection device within the PsiBot ecosystem, which also includes the dexterous hand Psi H1 and mobile robots.

Design

The exoskeleton is designed as an isomorphic hand device with 1:1 joint mapping. This allows all joints of a robot hand to be controlled naturally and intuitively. PsiBot also mentions a tactile exoskeleton glove specially developed for data collection.

Technology and AI

According to the manufacturer, the device achieves positioning accuracy in the sub-millimeter range and captures the full degrees of freedom of hand and arm along with comprehensive tactile information, without disrupting the normal workflow of the operator. The real data obtained in this way flows into the training of AI models.

Market Significance

With the Psi E1, PsiBot is pursuing the approach of obtaining high-quality real training data directly from human activity, thus closing the gap between simulation and the real world.
