Overview

The Hypertron-T01 is from Astrall Dynamics in Shenzhen and was first presented to a European audience at INTERSCHUTZ in Hanover in June 2026. In early September, the device also ran at IFA in Berlin. It is not a reconnaissance robot, but rather a work tool: the quadruped is designed to extinguish fires and conduct inspections in places where emergency personnel should not go.

Construction

The robot measures 1110 by 610 by 745 millimeters when standing and weighs 82 kilograms with battery. The housing is made of technical plastic, the leg structure is made of metal from aerospace manufacturing. It is driven by proprietary axial flux modules with dual encoders that deliver 50 Newton-meters nominal torque and peak 300 Newton-meters. With IP66 protection rating and a temperature range of minus 20 to plus 55 degrees, it is designed for field operations. Remarkable is the ratio of robot weight to load capacity: an 82-kilogram robot carries up to 80 kilograms of payload, or even 200 kilograms when stationary.

Technology and AI

Two Lidar sensors with 192 lines and 1.72 million points per second, plus a depth camera with 1280 by 800 pixels, provide orientation. RTK, GPS and mobile communications can be retrofitted. Via SDK, two RS485, two CAN and two Ethernet interfaces as well as power taps with 240 and 480 watts, operators can connect their own custom attachments. The robot handles obstacles and inclines up to 45 degrees, climbs steps from 20 to 25 centimeters and overcomes drops up to 90 centimeters high.

Market Significance

According to the manufacturer, series delivery to Chinese grid operator China Southern Power Grid is complete, and orders from abroad are possible. For Switzerland, the profile is unusually well-suited: fire departments, energy suppliers and operators of industrial facilities are looking for exactly this combination of off-road capability, high payload capacity and integrated fire suppression technology. Whether the device meets European certification requirements has not been documented to date.
