Overview

Bridge is a compact humanoid robot made by Chinese company Zeroth from Suzhou and was unveiled on September 2, 2026. Zeroth does not sell it as a service robot, but explicitly as an open development platform for universities, research groups, and developers. Along with the device, the company launched the open-source ecosystem OpenBridge with model, capability, and simulation libraries.

Design

At 88 centimeters tall and weighing around 13 kilograms, Bridge remains in table-top format. Shoulder height is 73 centimeters, with a shoulder width of just 13 centimeters. Each arm provides four degrees of freedom, each leg six, plus a rotational joint at the waist. The arms extend 30 to 40 centimeters and end in two-finger grippers capable of holding up to two kilograms. Notably, the drive modules weigh just under 179 grams, deliver 10 newton-meters peak torque, and achieve a torque density of 133 newton-meters per kilogram.

Technology and AI

The robot uses an eight-core RK3588 and a Jetson Xavier NX as an AI extension. Additionally, it includes an inertial measurement unit, a ring-shaped microphone array, and capacitive touch sensing. The movement software FlowMimic handles walking, squatting, lunges, and a standing backflip. Via Tele_Bridge, the entire body can be remotely controlled using a VR headset, designed for collecting training data. The system runs on 48 volts, with connectivity via WLAN 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

Market Significance

Price is the real selling point. For USD 3999, you get a functioning biped with full-body control—an area previously dominated mainly by kits and DIY projects. Zeroth states the device is certified for China, North America, the EU, Japan, and South Korea, and sells directly through its own shop. For European universities and labs, this significantly lowers the barrier to entry into humanoid research.
