Overview

The Titan O1 is a compact humanoid robot from Westlake Robotics, a spinoff of China's Westlake University. Unveiled in March 2026, it targets research, education, and embodied AI development.

Design

At 134 centimeters tall and a light 34 kilograms, the Titan O1 can be deployed in laboratories without major infrastructure. Depending on configuration, it offers between 29 and 69 degrees of freedom, and each arm can handle moderate loads.

Technology and AI

The robot is powered by the proprietary General-Action Model GAE, designed as a universal motion model for humanoids. During a demonstration in Hangzhou, the Titan O1 mirrored the movements of an operator in a motion-capture suit within milliseconds, from waving to spinning to kicking a ball. Operation can also be remotely controlled over a network.

Market Significance

Westlake Robotics promotes the Titan O1 for applications such as education, commerce, performances, public safety, firefighting, and mining.
