Overview

Robin is a mobile robot by U.S. company Roboligent, designed for factory automation. It was showcased at the Automate 2025 trade fair, among other events. It is not a classical full-body humanoid, but rather a mobile base equipped with two compliant arms.

Design

Robin combines a mobile platform with two so-called soft, compliant arms. This design allows the robot to navigate complex environments and handle delicate objects with a certain degree of sensitivity.

Technology and AI

The robot learns new tasks through imitation learning, where operators demonstrate an activity that it subsequently repeats. This eliminates the need for complex programming. This is complemented by autonomous navigation of the mobile base as well as functions for managing multiple devices.

Market Significance

Roboligent positions Robin for material flow, machine tending, and logistics in manufacturing. Reliable market figures are not yet publicly available.
