Overview

The FlashBot Arm is a semi-humanoid service robot from Pudu Robotics that combines autonomous delivery with precise object manipulation. Unveiled in March 2025, it builds on the company's well-known FlashBot and expands it with humanoid hands and arms.

Design

The robot is equipped with two arms, each with seven degrees of freedom, that can be raised and achieve a reach of up to two meters. These are complemented by the company's own PUDU DH11 dexterous hands, each with eleven degrees of freedom, capable of pressing buttons, grasping objects, and transporting items. A wheeled chassis provides high mobility.

Technology and AI

For navigation, the robot uses VSLAM and Laser-SLAM to create precise 3D maps, navigate autonomously, and avoid obstacles in real time. Via large language models, it conducts natural conversations and plans tasks. Sensors include RGB-D cameras, LiDAR, panoramic cameras, and pressure-sensitive skin for safety.

Market Significance

The FlashBot Arm is tailored for complex environments such as hotels, office buildings, restaurants, retail, and healthcare facilities. There it can press elevator buttons, use access cards, and open doors.
