Overview

The Atom Max comes from Chinese manufacturer Shenzhen Yuejiang Technology, known under the DOBOT brand. It is a more advanced variant of the Atom humanoid robot, which was first unveiled in March 2025. Among the models considered here, the Atom is one of the best documented.

Construction

The biped humanoid measures approximately 165 centimeters and weighs about 60 kilograms. It features 41 degrees of freedom and dexterous hands with six degrees of freedom each. Walking speed reaches up to 1.5 meters per second.

Technology and AI

Perception is provided by an Intel RealSense depth camera and a Full HD vision system with 60 frames per second, controlled by servos at 200 Hertz. The AI computing module delivers up to approximately 1500 TOPS. A proprietary model with approximately 100 million parameters serves as the AI foundation. The Atom Max also includes teleoperation via VR and MR with markerless tracking.

Market Significance

Mass production and global delivery of the Atom officially began at the end of June 2025 with a launch event in Nagoya. The price of the Atom program is around 27,500 US dollars, making the robot one of the more affordable models in its class. It is deployed in embodied AI development, precision assembly, and motion research.
