Overview

The Xialan S0 is a humanoid robot by Chinese startup Digit Huaxia from Shenzhen, founded in March 2024. Not to be confused with the US robot Digit by Agility Robotics. The Xialan S0's focus is on expressive facial expressions and human-robot interaction.

Construction

The robot measures approximately 169 centimeters and features more than 40 degrees of freedom in the overall system. Head and face alone provide 29 active degrees of freedom plus several passive ones, enabling finely nuanced bionic facial expressions. Information on weight and load capacity could not be verified.

Technology and AI

High-resolution cameras and microphone arrays enable facial tracking, lip recognition, and sound localization. Torque-rich servo actuators drive the robot. The manufacturer cites its proprietary Juhao platform as the AI foundation. Specific details on AI models or battery are not publicly available.

Market Significance

Digit Huaxia received seed funding in the double-digit millions in Yuan in March 2025 and reports orders from banks, power grid operators, and universities. Small-scale production has begun. No public price is known.
